2009 - Lamps For All Seasons

The Association of Stained Glass Lamp Artists was formed in 1991 to perpetuate, improve and promote the art and craft of stained glass lamp construction. Eight hundred artists from twenty five countries and forty five states are members of the Association.

This, our seventeenth calendar, was conceived by Carol Conti to demonstrate the artwork of the Association members and to spread some joy in the process.

Front Cover (Above): "Magnolia"
Mayumi Sasaki, Kyoto, Japan..
A scene of swarming butterfilies within a summer sky was fabricated with glass by Oceana, Youghiogheny and Uroboros. This admirable shade, with an irregular border that tucks under, is supported by curved metal rods that are incorporated into the shade. 18" design by Tiffany Studios. Mosaic base by Shanghai Centralgem Lighting.
Photography by Hiroaki Takagi.

Back Cover (Above): "Oriental Poppy"
Peter and Gudren Grotepass, Essen, Germany.
Masterly color choices of glass, manufactured by Schlitz, Uroboros, Chicago and Lins were incorporated into this glorious interpretation of this 26" design by Tiffany Studios.
Photography by Grotepass Studios.
