2010 - Lamps For All Seasons

The Association of Stained Glass Lamp Artists was formed in 1991 to perpetuate, improve and promote the art and craft of stained glass lamp construction. Eight hundred artists from twenty six countries and forty seven of our states are members of the Association.

This, our eighteenth calendar, was conceived by Carol Conti to demonstrate the artwork of the Association members and to spread a little joy in the process.

Front Cover (Above): "Spider Mum"
Gale Obler, Joshua Tree, California.
Uroboros ripples, used in the background areas and in the leaves accompany an explosion of glorious flowers. Ripple glass was also used to portray the flower clusters, although some granites and mottles were used to form the long, tubular outer petals. The 22" shade was designed by Lynne Johnson for Paul Crist Studios. Base by Odyssey.

Back Cover (Above): "Wetlands"
Doug Hohenstein, Gig Harbor, Washington, used Uroboros and Youghiogheny glass to build this unique shade that consists of six concave panels. The continuous design features creatures, mountains and plant life of the Pacific Northwest. The shade is mnounted on a 5 foot hand-carved mahogony base with a granite footing, also designed and credited by the artist.
